Q: When is the event?

A: The event will be from 2019/7/10 (Wed.) - 8/18 (Sun.)

Q: When is the latest registration time?

A: Register as soon as possible, so the city government may compile the information and disclose promotions for merchants as early as possible.

 

3.

Q: Are merchants exempted from using uniform invoices able to participate?

A: Yes, all merchants with tax ID numbers may participate. The merchant shall provide receipts with uniform invoice stamp affixed and set out the items and amount upon consumption made by citizens. Citizens are required to present such receipts to receive the award upon winning. The receipt shall be deemed as invalid in the absence of item, amount, date, or invoice stamp.

Q: Are discounts required for participation?

A: Discount is the essential requirement for participation, which may be discounts for all products or for single items, and such discounts shall be provided throughout the event period. If merchants with no discounts were reported as the discount product had sold out, the organizer is entitled to remove the merchant from the list after such condition is verified.

Q: When citizens log in their consumption, how would they know I am a discount merchant?

A: Archives were created according to tax ID numbers for merchants using invoices upon registration. When citizens logging in the invoice and enter the merchant’s tax ID number, the system would make automatic determinations. For merchants exempted from using uniform invoices, a unique QR code would be generated for the merchant. The merchant only needs to provide the QR code to citizens for scanning. If citizens wish to participate in the prize drawing, the merchant must issue receipts to citizens.

Q: What is the benefit of joining as a discount merchant?

A: After citizens have made consumption at the discount merchants of the event, logged in the invoice and entered the amount, the system would automatically triple the amount; that is, entering NT$100 would automatically become NT$300, and the consumers may have more winning opportunities in the prize drawing.

Q: Any purchase of NT$500 provides the opportunity to participate in the prize drawing. Is it accumulated or is a single purchase? Is there an upper limit?

A: It is accumulated. One set of the prize drawing serial number would be provided when the accumulation consumption achieved NT$500; two sets of the prize drawing serial number would be granted when the accumulation consumption achieved NT$1,000, and so forth; up to 300 sets of the prize drawing serial number may be granted for a single purchase.

Q: What is “Point Treasure Hunt”? Is providing products for exchange required?

A: An APP will be produced for the event, and an AR treasure hunt game will be designed. There will be handout station established at more than a hundred tourism spots in Taichung, and the event mascot will show up from time to time for citizens to catch in exchange for points. 60,000 points will be distributed every day, and a total of 2 million points will be distributed during the event period (1-point equals to NT$1). Merchants will provide products for citizens to make exchanges for free. The planning of such event intends to draw customers to the merchants’ store for consumption. If citizens managed to use 100 points to make an exchange with the merchant for products, the merchants might issue an invoice to apply for compensation after the completion of the event, and the city government will pay NT$50 to the merchant. The products provided will be based on the merchant’s free will and the points for exchange shall be based on the merchant’s discretion; however, if the points required by the merchant is too much, citizens may consider the value of the product for making such exchange. The merchants can determine their participation in such event on their free will.

Q: Will the merchant store be a spot for the treasure hunt?

A: Currently, it is temporarily planned that the spots will be based on the top 100 wedding-photography spots (mainly based on the venue announced by the Tourism and Travel Bureau) and the business districts in Taichung.

 

10.

Q: How can branches register?

A: There is a column for branches registration on the website. Please fill out all the branch information in an excel file, including the name of the branch, address, tax ID number, contact, and contact number (not required if the contact and contact number are all managed by the main branch). As citizens are required to enter the tax ID number of the merchant upon logging in for the system to determine whether it is a discount merchant; therefore, please provide tax ID number in the case that each branch has its own tax ID number.

Q: Will the organizer provide identifying objects?

A: The organizer will provide identifying stickers and event tent card (with QR code for citizens to join the event easily) for participating merchants, discount merchants of the event, to post up for an announcement

Q: Will the city government assist in promotion and exposure upon joining the Festival as a discount merchant?

A: Relevant discount information of all discount merchants will be exposed on the event APP and official website, and the city government will also provide different promotions and exposures based on the content of the discount supplied by merchants. The city government will also invite merchants with prominent discounts to attend promotional activities.

Q: I want to participate, but can I register before confirming the content of discounts?

A: If the merchant has yet confirmed the content of discounts, please fill out the basic information first and contact the platform (contact number for the back-end maintenance unit of the platform: 04-23831919) for modification after the content of discounts is confirmed; however, please confirm before 15 June for the organizers to make announcements and exposures.

Q: What information is required for registration?

A: Please visit the registration page and fill in information including entering the name, tax ID number, address, contact, contact number, the content of discounts of the store for registration.

Q: Is it possible to modify the discount plan after it was proposed?

A: Yes, but modification is limited to two times, and the discount plans shall be finalized by the commencement of the event (7/1), which shall not be changed during the event period.

 

16.

Q: Except for the notice press conference, will there be any relevant public events? How to participate and attend the events?

A: There will be relevant news exposures in the future, and a press conference will be held before the event to announce the upcoming event. The organizer will invite merchants with highlight discounts to attend.

 

17.

Q: Is the sponsorship required for the prize in the prize drawing every week?

A: The sponsorship shall be determined by the merchants on their discretion, but we welcome the active participation of merchants.

 

18.

Q: Are invoices or receipts from discount merchants the ones eligible for the prize drawing only?

A: During the event period, all invoices issued in the Taichung region are eligible for participating in the prize drawing; however, receipts from discount merchants are the only eligible ones for the prize drawing, and receipts from non-discount merchants will be regarded as invalid.

 

19.

Q: How can citizens determine whether I am a discount merchant?

A: After the successful participation, the organizer will provide unified identifying stickers for discount merchants, allowing merchants to post at the prominence spot at the front of the store. The picture will not be provided for download.

 

20.

Q: Is there any limitation on the discount?

A: Merchants shall provide their discount plan on their discretion.

 

21.

Q: How do I know if I have successfully joined as a discount merchant or not?

A: After passing the review, the organizer will send a mail to notify the merchant who successfully joined.
